Fireworks and Storm Anxiety in Dogs

What you are about to read may sound crazy and wierd, but if I hadn't tried it with great success myself, I would not have believed it either.  This may not work in all dogs, but it is reported to work in most.  If your dog has fireworks or strom anxiety, try rubbing Peppermint Oil for Cooking (do NOT use essential oil from the health food store) on the bottoms of all four feet.  Rub in well between the pads and on the pads.  My wife uses Peppermint Candy Flavoring.  Many people report they just use a couple of drops between just the front toes and rub it in and it works fine.

Our dog Turtle had severe anxiety with storms and fireworks but now, once the oil is applied, she is quiet and restful.  She is just a little anxious but nothing like before.

It is best to do this before the event occurs, but it even works after the thunder has started.

If this does not work for your dog, we have several medications that can be used to help with this problem.  Call us today at 417-782-7387.
