In the case of an emergency, the first thing to do is try to remain calm.  We can be reached 24/7 at our regular phone numbers during the week.  Our phone numbers are:

Local 417-782-PETS (7387)

Outside Joplin 888-781-PETS (7387)

On weekends (Friday 7 p.m. thru Monday 7 a.m.) call 417-782-9611 (Emergency Pet Center of the Four-States, LLC).  You do not need an appointment to go to the Emergency Pet Center.  It is located at 7th and Illinois in the old Sears plaza near Sonic and is open from 7 p.m. Friday thru 7 a.m. Monday.

We are unable to provide emergency services for other veterinarians or clients of other veterinarians except by special arrangement through other veterinarians.  We are happy to see new clients for urgent care and emergencies during regular business hours.

We do provide pet-related and investigative emergency service to bonafide regional public service agencies (sheriff, police, fire, and JEMS) any time.

Different emergencies require different actions on your part, but the first thing to remember is to protect yourself from harm.  Information below is provided for your use in an emergency in the time before you are able to contact a veterinarian.  Just CLICK on the topic to view the information.
